Phil Gordon Grabs Top Spot at 4th Annual Ante Up For Africa Tournament

Phil Gordon of Team Full Tilt won first-place at the 4th Annual Ante Up for Africa Tournament. Ante Up for Africa is a non-profit organization that was established in 2005 poker professional Annie Duke along with Norman Epstein and actor Don Cheadle. The Annual Ante Up for Africa has become an integral part of the World Series of Poker. Since its inception, the organization has raised over $3 million for charity. This year’s competition attracted a total of 83 players. The tournament had a $5,000 buy in. The field of 83 players consisted of top pro players and celebrities.

The final table saw Gordon playing heads up against Shannon Elizabeth. The final two battled it out with a fast blind structure.
